Who we are

The Association

The Western Sydney Law Students’ Association Incorporated (WSLSA) is the representative body for law students at Western Sydney University. Established in 1996, it has been run by students, for students, ever since.

We are a student-run, not-for-profit organisation that bridges the gap between law school and the profession. Our committee is elected each year by members and works to build a community where advocacy, integrity and connection come first.

What we stand for

Our Core Mandate

Practical Advocacy

We focus on the practical side of law through skills-based programs such as our mooting competitions, built for every level so students can grow at their own pace.

Career Integration

Through firm networking nights, our Careers Fair and the annual Clerkship Guide, we connect members with leading firms and the wider legal profession.

Community & Connection

Community is our cornerstone. From the Law Ball to first-year mixers, we build networks that carry members from their first lecture to admission and beyond.

“To further the interests of all current students of the School of Law… advocating on behalf of Law Students by monitoring academic conditions and needs.”
WSLSA Constitution

A Significant Presence

WSLSA has a strong presence in the legal community, both at WSU and beyond. Our events are fixtures on the academic calendar, known for their quality and professionalism. Representing more than 2,000 students, we are a voice for the next generation of lawyers.
