This competition gives students the opportunity to practise interviewing a client, identifying legal issues, and providing practical advice — key skills for any future lawyer. Participants will be judged by lawyers from Ashurst and will receive valuable feedback on their performance. Teams consist of 2–3 students. Students who attend the Diverse Women in Law: Interview Skills Workshop on 28 July are eligible for an exclusive opportunity to take part in a follow-up mock interview session at Western Sydney University. Hosted on campus, this session gives selected participants the chance to: Undertake a one-on-one mock interview with a representative from a top-tier commercial law firm Receive personalised, targeted feedback on common interview questions Continue refining interview techniques in a supportive and inclusive environment Date: Wednesday 30 July 2025 Location: WSU Parramatta South Campus Eligibility: Open to students who registered and attended the DWL Interview Skills Workshop on 28 July This is a unique opportunity to put your skills into practice and gain real insight from legal professionals who have been through the clerkship process themselves.
